Happy Birthday CANADA - July 1st, 2017

Happy Birthday Canada!!!!

Canada observes it birthday since becoming a confederation every July 1st.  Up to 1967, the day was known as Dominion Day but then changed to 'Canada Day'. This year is very special tho, July 2017 marks the 150th birthday of the Federation of Canada formed in 1867. There were 10 provinces at the time; we are now proud to say we are 11 provinces strong!

My Elusive Mrs. Murphy

I know these last few days were just as hard, if not harder, on you as they were on me. I didn't want to let you go but this morning when you laid your little head on my shoulder as you did, I knew as much as you wanted to comfort me from the pain of losing you, you were gently telling me it was your time to go to join Davee, Mitzie & Jazzie. My heart is breaking right now in a million pieces; to lose all of you in just a short two year period is hard to understand. I guess I have to find some comfort that you are all now free of pain resting in the arms of God. One day, it will come to be that I join you too. Rest in peace my beloveds.

She Dresses ......

Laughter Keeps The Heart & Mind Young

I truly believe that and  find at least a few things each day to make me chuckle. I tend to get a lot of emails with one liners but I am a very visual person, so I just add my own spice to it. Each day I can come up with a different perspective - guess it depends on one's state of mind at the given time.

My pages are made up with a one liner or two, an assortment of pics found on Google, blend effects and use of a variety of my brushes/backgrounds.

No matter how you cut it, murder is murder! Those who consider themselves intellectuals, democratic, modern and progressive sorts espousing great pride in the cold blooded & brutal killing of a dictator - is there really anything to be proud about!

Been doing a lot of pencil and charcoal pages these days. A friend asked me to create a page for her from this photo using those effects.

The sense of pain has to stir the feeling within one's very soul.

I especially love September. The weather is usually very pleasant and  folks seem more likely to be out and about taking leisurely strolls those many walks to enjoy the sights and sounds of Autumn. The beauty of the changing colours in Ontario is just simply beholding to the eye. It also means that it is that time to start putting the patio furniture away, pruning and putting out some of those bedraggled plants - but lets not go there shall we! Can't get enough of scrapping pages of those glorious autumn tones these days and here are just a few variations I scrapped recently.
