"a profound impact on the soul and heart that the song on it's own has the definite ability to "change peoples perspective" thus would help too lesson the amount of negativity in the world"

Johnny Reid - Today I'm Gonna Try and Change The World (Lyric Video)

Arthur - couldn't agree with you more. Johnny Reid does an awesome
job on this - another great Canadian talent! His Juno win was so well deserved.

Another Alternative To My Name Is Purple

Well rather than the original I did for the challenge a few days back, I decided to revamp and switched the final to this one. Not sure which sure if that was the right decision - but oh well, its done now :)

You'll find it here at SBF to see how I am doing :).

This video so amuses me and I would say that I have probably watched it 6 or 7 times over the last week or so. You can't help but adore this precious child as his reactions vary from wonderment, to shock and then outbreaks of giggles when his mom blows her nose.

Emerson, a 5 month old hailing from London, Ontario, is a YouTube sensation. His video has gone viral generating some 6 million hits in less than a week. Awesome lil fella!!

~ Purple Is The Color Of My Name ~

Well have this ready to go for the next challenge. Never considered that my color was purple - while I do like it, it is not my favorite. This made it harder to come up with a page I liked using the purple but here it is!

If you want to find out the color of your name, just pop on over to here.

~ My Animal/Bird Spirit ~

One of my newest scrapbook postings is a page depicting your animal spirit - mine turned out to be the owl.

It also posted in the challenge here , checked it out & if you want you can even drop me a comment and/or a vote or two :). Wonder what your own spirit animal is?? - well just pop over to  Jerry's ,  lots of fun!

Happy St Patty's Day

Enjoy a few greens but remember if you do, drink responsibly and don't drive!!  The life you save may be your own.

Time Stands Still For No One

When I went back home several years ago, I found that the grand old farm house that I remembered with such vivid detail was no more. There stood a delapidated old building absent of most doors and windows, floors caved and beams broken and dangling precariously. A couple of years thereafter, I went back again, perhaps thinking someone may have made this old building whole again, but those shambled remnants of its very being were now all gone. Now the land where my beloved home once stood was a grain field. My heart broke - somehow a piece of my history ceased to exist and so to, I sensed a part of me died that day too.

My page depicts a broken and deserted home that once someone love too. I found this beautiful poem written by  VanMeer which is so fitting. Its almost as if he took the thoughts right from my heart.  Then I realize there are so many of us that have come to know the same experience as we grow older in life. Time stands still for no one now does it?!

Trains, Trains, Trains

Well this was a neat challenge on trains. A train of some sort had to be featured on your page and I tried two different ways to create and scrap a scene.

Pages are posted at SBF and  can also be found here and here

New Remedy??

Found this & thought it was kinda cute just to share:

Would be wonderful if something so simple worked, LOL!

Then & Now

This was a fun challenge!! All the participants had to scrap a vintage page but add one new component. When I can across the old 1925 bathing beauties pic I knew this was my choice. Had a hoot doctoring up the oldie by inserting a more current bathing beauty, of course one in good taste. This what I came up with and even managed to score 2nd prize, you can see here.

Talk about some pretty frumpy bathing beauts back the, LOL!!
